Silver/Sister has resolved Elder’s obsession with photographing her younger sister. Silver gelatine fibre prints reveal an exploration of their evolving relationship, overshadowed by bipolar disorder. Her camera became a tool to unite them; dissecting their similarities from their differences while discovering the duality in their roles as individuals, a family unit, and subjects of wavering mental health and aging bodies. Black and white are silver.
